The NYC MONOLOGUE WEEKEND is an opportunity to work in person in New York City and learn my complete monologue approach. You’ll finish with an audition-ready monologue, you’ll know my technique, and will have several weeks after the class to send in more monologues for feedback.

I had an audition in a casting office yesterday and they asked for a monologue. I was utterly prepared.
—Matt Shapiro, New York Actor

ABOUT MY MONOLOGUE TECHNIQUE
The technique includes Directing, Acting, and Audition technique. I show you how to DIRECT your monologue—create fun, specific staging that tells your story and  is fun to do and fun to watch. Your nerves will decrease because your body will know what to do at each moment. Your staging can then be adjusted to any size performance—from theater to self-tape. When you know your monologue is specifically directed, you can really let go and ACT your monologue. We use elements of the Practical Aesthetics acting technique that show you how to act a monologue with truth and connection—even without a partner. AUDITION technique empowers you to handle every non-acting moment of an audition—entering the room, slating, chatting, and exiting—with confidence and ease.

I love this work! My body and instincts haven’t felt this free to make choice for along (frustrating) time!
—Ana Valle, New York Actor
